Home For Visitors COMMON QUESTIONS
What are the worship services like?
Worship is a time of fellowship, celebration and learning. Our pastors share the life-changing message of the Bible in a clear, practical and relevant way.

You may see a choir, orchestra, band, drama team or a mix of all four on stage. At the beginning and end of most services, our Worship Minister and a team of singers will lead from the stage.

You are welcome to join in or sit back and observe, or whatever you feel most comfortable doing. Theres no dress code some wear Sunday best while others dress casually.

Where can my kids go during the services?
At First Christian, your children are very important to us. We strive to provide a safe, secure and fun environment where they can learn about God. To ensure safety, we have check-in areas at the entrances to the preschool wing on the first floor and near the childrens worship areas on the second floor.

How can I become a member?
The same biblical steps one takes to become a Christian are the steps one needs to take to become a member of First Christian.
  • Hear and believe the word of God that proclaims Jesus as Lord and Savior.
  • Repent of sin and turn to God through faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior.
  • Publicly confess Jesus as Son of God and Lord and Savior.
  • Be buried with Christ in baptism and raised to walk in newness of life.
  • Take an active part in worship and the ministries of the church.
What do I need to do if Ive already taken the above steps and am already a Christian?
A person who is already an immersed believer in Christ may place their membership with First Christian by repeating their public confession of Christ as Lord and Savior before the congregation and then taking an active part in worship and the ministries of the church.

How can I meet new people in such a large church?
There are a large variety of small groups available. These take place in a familys home and offer a group study in a more relaxed and intimate setting.

Where do I park?
There is parking at the front, back and side of the church. Uniformed parking attendants are available to help you easily find a parking spot. You may also park across the street at the State Farm or Clarks Auto parking lots. Handicapped spots are available in front of the building.
