The goal of the Worship Ministry is to exalt Jesus Christ, first through our personal lives, and then by our music. We exist to lead people to encounter God and educate believers in their ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ. In each service we look for ways to serve the community, encourage the body and provide an uplifting worship experience.
Worship Choir
The Worship Choir is for anyone 18 or older who enjoys singing a wide variety of songs and styles. This is a non-auditioned group that rehearses on Sunday evenings at 5:30. Our motto is, "If you can sing in the car, you can sing with us!" The Worship Choir of First Christian Church exists to create community, deepen the understanding of music and develop a passion of personal growth.Worship Band
The Worship Band exists to provide instrumental music for our Sunday and Wednesday services. Band members follow a monthly schedule that is made based on personal availability. Currently this group exists of a standard rhythm section and is open for auditions to any experienced player.Worship Team
The Worship Team is an auditioned group of singers that assist in weekly worship services. The worship team is selected annually through an audition process. These auditions take place each May. The 15 members of the worship team double as "weekend singers" and serve together as a group for smaller ensemble songs. The team exists as a unit to deepen spiritual growth, inspire others to worship and to enhance the overall worship experience.
Tech Team
Each service at First Christian is supported by several technical positions. FOH (Front of House) sound, lighting designers, a producer, a technical director, camera operator, computer graphics (CGs), and a sound tech make up the weekly technical jobs. There is a quarterly schedule that is assembled (based on availability) for weekly needs as well as stand-by help for semi-annual events. Experience is required in some areas but a simple desire to serve and a spirit to learn is all you need to become involved on a tech team.Please contact Steve Ross with any questions regarding the Worship Ministry.
